How to get a new charityware listed?

Here is the procedure to get a new charityware listed:

  1. If you don't already have one, create a new account. Because of past problems with stubborn spammers, accounts are moderated, so make sure to answer properly the question asked in the registration page. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  2. Make sure that the charities you are supporting are already listed. If not, you should first create a new 'charity' page for each.
  3. Create a new 'developer' page for the lead developer of the charityware. This page is important because it will link the developers to the charities they support and to the charityware they have authored.
  4. Once the charity pages and the developer page are created, you can create the page for the charityware itself. Make sure to document all the fields appropriately.
  5. A link back from your web site to this site is most welcome. Our common purpose is to help charities, so let's promote together the charityware concept.
  6. Your charityware users can comment on each of the pages you have just created: you can encourage users to do so, so that we can see the positive impact of charityware.
  7. Most of the web site operates as a wiki. Once registered, you should be able to edit all the documentation pages (like this one). Do not hesitate to do so to benefit future visitors and contributors.
  8. With your charityware account, you also have a personal blog. You can use it to cross-post important news about your charityware, with cross-links both ways, so that both sites benefit from increased traffic.
  9. Most specifically, you can use your blog to post information about how much impact you know your charityware has had on charities (e.g. how much donations were made, etc.).

Create new content: in order to create new 'charity', 'developer' or charityware content, you must go to the create content page (see link in the right menu).
