Pimlico Software

Pimlico Software is the creator of the popular DateBk line of functional calendars for the Palm OS. These applications greatly extend the functionality of the Datebook application built into Palm OS. In fact, the application is so popular Handspring licensed the technology for their PDA. Both PCWeek and InfoWorld pointed to the improved Datebook application as a significant plus for Handspring devices. Pen Computing's October '99 review of the Visor said: "Hats off to Handspring for recognizing a good thing and getting it [Datebk3] for their product".

Proceeds from the sale of Pimlico's shareware products go to the Dewar Wildlife Trust (founded by C. E. Steuart Dewar, the creator of DateBk). The Dewar Wildlife Trust, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) and Georgia non-profit corporation which the Dewar family established to fund various wildlife conservation projects including the Dewar's own Gorilla Haven project which is building a sanctuary for Western Lowland Gorillas on 324 acres in the North Georgia Mountains -- the first resident - Joe - arrived at Gorilla Haven in April, 2003.

So far Pimlico Software has raised six million dollars for wildlife conservation and charitable organizations.
